Building Up STEAM Together
STEAM PEI is a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire young Islanders to pursue learning and careers in science, technology, engineering, art and math fields by fostering their curiosity and confidence through experiential learning opportunities.
We offer engaging hands-on programs across PEI including camps, in-school workshops, after-school classes, birthday parties, special events, and team-building workshops.

Our Location: Etl-kisite’tasik
In April 2022, in partnership with Ulnooweg Education Centre, and with the support from several funders, STEAM PEI found a place to call Home. This beautiful new space on the main level of the Epekwitk Assembly of Councils building at 8 Stan MacPherson Way has been named Etl-kisite’tasik (pronounced et L gi see day da sick). Etl’kisite’tasik is a Mi’kmaq word meaning thinking and creating something inanimate.
We are so excited about our new equipment and the opportunities our new space provides. We plan to provide lots of new opportunities such as Drop in and Play for learners of all ages, Open Makerspace Times, school field trips, birthday parties, and special events and programs.
Our main entrance is on the side facing Founders Hall/Receiver Coffee with the STEAM PEI sign over the door. Parking is available in spaces 16-20 on the water side of the building and overflow parking is available in the spaces that are not numbered in the lot closer to the Hillsborough Bridge.
Our space will be available for rent during the school year before 2pm when students are not available.
