Freeze Drying 101 For Kids [FREE]

How much spoiled food waste is there and what can we do about it? This fun interactive class teaches about the science of freeze drying as a method for food preservation. Kids will get to see the freeze drying process and prepare a sample for freeze drying. Various fruits will be provided for experiments. Registration required.

Join our vibrant community and unleash your creativity as you craft incredible holiday ornaments using cutting-edge 3D printers, laser cutters, and the fantastic Cricut machine. Our skilled facilitators will be there to guide you every step of the way. Not only will you take home a dazzling handcrafted ornament, but you’ll also master the art of using our specialized equipment. It’s a holiday experience like no other! This event is open to everyone of all ages.

Whatever it is, let’s talk about it! Join STEAM PEI for the after-school program Girls GET Math to see how math can be fun! We’ll talk about math, but this is NOT math class. We’ll be making smoothies, creating art, and dancing! If you stick it out for eight weeks, you’ll get a super cool suprise custom item to take home.
Boring note for parents: This program aims to increase the participants’ confidence in math. This program is free, thanks to support from the PEI Interministerial Women’s Secretariat.

Math Minds: Advanced Math Program

Do you love math and want to learn how to apply your skills to even more interesting math? Join us every Saturday morning to learn a mix of math wizardry and advanced math methods. We’ll practice a collection of math tricks to astound your friends and family, plus train your brain to crush logic puzzles and solve complex mental math in seconds (without a calculator!). You’ll learn advanced problem-solving techniques while building skills to excel in national math competitions. Advance beyond your grade level and find a community of other math enthusiasts at Math Minds Club!
For students in grades 7-8 with a passion for math (possibility for very advanced grade 6 students)
Saturdays from 10AM-12PM, for 10 weeks from October 7th to December 16th
